New Website Means Money for Writers
the reality is the changes have had a huge effect on how far we reach on the web. The changes have been directly refelected in the number of articles that our readers are now reading. We went from 7 pages per reader to the 13 this weekend. Telling us that you like the new system as much as we do.
The forums- The forums are coming up very shortly and with that you can expect our contests to start back up. I have a nice pile of prizes to give away now and am sure that after Shot Show this year we will see a large number of free prizes come in.
With the new system we expect to launch a writer's pool. The writers pool is money we will set aside to pay those who write for GunMuse Outdoors. To put a nail on the head for our advertisers that we are not a paper magazine our writers payments will be ground breaking just like everything we do.
When a writer sends us an article for "print" his/her name goes into a pool. You as a reader, reading that article will add 1 point to that writers account. The pool we be divide up based on total points and a percentage obtained by each writer. That means you can put an article on GunMuse and get paid for YEARS. The more popular your work the more you will be paid each month. The better you write in order to make your work "stand the test of longetivity" the more money you make as an outdoor writer. Basically its profit sharing from day 1. The amount of the pool will be announced on the first of the month hopefully starting in January 1st. We still have to write the specialize tracking software to keep people from cheating the system we are setting up. Basically you write or you promote your own work plus what we have for readers and you will make more money as a writer with GunMuse. No more one time pays for long term income to a publisher.
