Why Search Engines have no effect on GunMuse
We posted a small article about the actions that Google took against us because of a perceived threat from what we do at Gunmuse. It has amazed more than a few our response that what Google, Yahoo and Msn are doing is of no effect on what we are doing. To that end we got called liars by the "anti-'s" using conventional wisdom.
You have probably read, "Even the biggest search engines don't understand how the internet works". Well B.S. And the wisdom they let out is really the marketing plan to guide you to use the Internet "Their way". So based on that the reason I got called a liar and / or I was "bluffing" because conventional wisdom dictates that I get all my 14.5 million readers from search engines. This is just not so our search engine traffic so "targeted" at individual products for that products benefit not ours. So below I copied yesterday's stats out of our stat software.
What does this show?
We have a nice balance of other websites who refer customers to us and people who come here every day because they bookmarked us as a favorite site. 3.2% of our traffic is from the search engines. This is why GunMuse can do what we do to promote and penetrate products to a market. We are the starting point of quality word of mouth. The very advertising no company can control positive or negative. Ours is positive. We hope to keep it that way. We are not happy with the information on GunMuse and neither should our readers be. Its for that reason we call manufactures EVERY DAY. That we work with large partners to ensure the industry starts working together on the important task of increasing participates in shooting sports. To our loyal readers: Thank you, as you are the very reason these companies hold no power over us.
